Now that you’ve switched from classic Google Hangouts to Hangouts Meet, here are some tips on beginning to use Meet to manage your video meetings. You’ll find many similar features—and additional benefits—when you use Meet.

Join a video meeting just like in classic Hangouts. New ways include:
- The Meet app
- Dial in to meetings created by G Suite Enterprise users
- A meeting code on web and mobile
- Copy the meeting link from the browser address bar or in the meeting details box, and send to someone. If someone tries to join who was not invited to the meeting, a meeting participant from your organization must accept their request.

- Present and participate fully from a Chrome browser.
- Download Meet app to participate fully on mobile devices.
Bandwidth requirements for meetings
Before, in classic Hangouts
- Inbound (with 5 participants): 3.2 Mbps
- Inbound (with 10+ participants): 4.0 Mbps
Now, in Hangouts Meet
- Outbound from the participant in all situations: 3.2 Mbps
- Inbound to the participant with 6 or more participants: 3.4 Mbps
